Andrea is a Senior Programme Officer at GIB, currently acting as Regional programme Manager of the Safe and Sound City Programme (S²Cities). She has worked in the international development sector and led projects to support municipal policy, socioeconomic development, and sustainability planning in countries worldwide. Among other areas, she has extensive expertise in urban development and sustainability, covering topics of urban safety, sustainable solid waste management, informal labour in urban settings, and housing. She has worked with the International Labor Organization, the World Trade Organization, The World Bank and WWF International in the past.

Andrea has a background in urban studies and local / city governance.
